The Travel Bug

Most people believe that traveling may well be one of the best forms of education and I cannot agree more.
Experiencing the culture and traditions of other countries have significantly made me appreciate the world, my people and my country much more.

It was in the early 1990s as I started living and working in Davao City when my employer and his family began to take me along travels to several Asian destinations.  Hongkong, Bali, Singapore,  Tokyo, Beijing and on to San Francisco  and Hawaii in the U.S.A.
The trips were intended for both personal and professional purposes relative to my work in the group of companies.

There were observation tours of varied tourist destinations. Appreciating works of art atop the mountain resort of Ubud and partying at Un's Warung in the city-center of Kuta in Bali, Indonesia; observing nocturnal wildlife at the Night Safari, enjoying the rides at Sentosa Island or window shopping at Orchard Road in Singapore; visiting magnificent historical buildings in Tiananmen Square, scaling the Great Wall, watching a fashion show at a Silk factory and exploring the Ming Tomb in Beijing;

Count in pleasurable holidays feasting on seafood at Lama Island, having fun at Ocean Park, bargain hunting at Nathan and Canton Roads in Hong Kong; strolling through temples and palaces in beautiful Kyoto, throwing snowballs at a mountain resort in Nikko, or taking a religious pilgrimage to Akita. Not to mention the thrilling rides we enjoyed at fun-filled Disneyland and Disney Seas in Tokyo,

Crossing the Pacific, there were photoshoots at the Golden Gate Bridge, Crooked Road and other 'sightseeing spots' in San Francisco. A short flight across the Pacific lead to learning how to surf at Waikiki and feeding the fish at Hanauma Bay in the beautiful islands of Hawaii.

I especially like Hawaii since living there has its perks with year-round warm weather amidst some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the world. The island lifestyle is laid-back and relaxed where there is a strong sense of community
and appreciation for the land.

Then there's New York, New York!
I never dreamed I would be so lucky to travel to the big apple, New York.

God has truly been very good to me by blessing my life with wonderful experiences.
